Delete Your Account & Data
Last updated: 22 August 2026
This page explains how to delete your Reteo account, and exactly what happens to your data when you do. It applies to the Reteo mobile app (Android and iOS) and the Reteo website.
How to request deletion
In the app (fastest): open the Reteo app, go to Account → Delete account, and confirm. Your account is deleted immediately — no waiting period, no support ticket needed.
By email: if you no longer have the app installed, email admin@reteo.in from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We process email requests within 7 days and reply once it’s done.
What gets deleted
Once your deletion request is processed, we:
- Scrub your email address and phone number from our systems immediately — they are no longer stored against your account;
- Remove your profile, photos, rate cards, cart, and connected social accounts (Instagram, YouTube) from view everywhere on Reteo — no other user or brand can see them again;
- Permanently delete your push-notification device tokens, so notifications stop immediately.
Your account is deactivated the moment deletion completes. If you create a new Reteo account later with the same identity, it starts blank — none of your old profile data is restored.
What we're required to keep
Indian tax and financial-recordkeeping law requires us to retain records of completed transactions — collaborations, payments, escrow/payout records, and deliverables — even after an account is deleted. These records are kept for audit and legal-compliance purposes only; they are not visible on your profile, not used to market to you, and not linked to your scrubbed email or phone number.
When deletion isn't immediately possible
We can’t delete an account while it has an unfinished obligation, because doing so would strand a payment or a collaboration the other party is relying on. Deletion is blocked (with a clear explanation) if you currently have:
- An active collaboration — one that hasn’t been rejected, expired, or completed yet, whether you’re the creator or the brand; or
- Funds held in escrow against an order that hasn’t been completed or cancelled.
Finish, cancel, or settle the collaboration or order first, then request deletion again — it will go through immediately.
